BlackBerry’s First Android Slider Phone “Venice” Rumors

The upcoming new the BlackBerry 10 slider handset called Venice is in news not because of its operating system but since it may be the first BlackBerry’s Android powered mobile phone. Although, there is no confirmation from both the Blackberry and Google, but the rumor got the direction from the tweet of Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, the well-known Twitter leakster. 

The tweet clearly mentions that this Android-based BlackBerry Venice phone will debut on US network AT &T.

Speculations about BlackBerry Venice:

In his tweets, Evan posted a press photo having Android icons on the lower display part. The mobile is expected to launch in the coming November featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip.

 According to the speculations from the unknown sources, BlackBerry is all set to bring on changes focusing on the device, software, and security management. Although this is not the first tie-up with Google with a phone it is going to be at a big level.


The words of BlackBerry CEO John Chen, “If I find a way to secure the Android Phone, I will also build that” gives many a hint that it could be an awesome combination of Android software and BlackBerry secure hardware! Till now, we all can only cross our fingers to welcome the slider Blackberry, rest all depends on reality.
