Have a look on Android M developer preview for Sony Devices

Sony has released the preview of Android M developer for Sony Xperia devices. The new developer preview supports a list of 12 Sony Xperia Models. The developer preview is quite easy and simple as compared to the Nexus devices. 

The installation can be done within few minutes. However, it is advised to carry out the process only if you are an app developer and want to test the apps on the Android M release.

Some features like the Camera App and modem are missing. All this implies that unless and until a person knows third-party ROM developer, downloading the same is not of much use. To conclude it not much like the preview.

The Android M features are quite similar to what we saw at Google I/O 2015.The third-party developers can easily use the older drives for the missing components in order to make some functional ROMs for Sony Devices.

However, it is important to remember AOSP software is not at intended for the regular use. It can be used or available only for such devices that come with an unlocked boot-loader and have certain limitations. This is the reason due to which the features like camera and modem is not available.
