Mac Power Reduction
Google has made a promise last week to lower power reduction on the Mac. A senior Chrome User Interface team named Peter Kasting said that the battery hog, especially on Chrome, is one of the big complaints while Apple’s Safari is doing better. This was published in Google+ post on the last Wednesday.
Kasting
explained that the entire team of Chrome has achieved success in reducing the
total power consumption of the browser.
In the same line, Kasting says that the team has lowered the priority of the background tab that was previously rendering the browser “wakes” from a lower power mode. More wakes although results in the faster rendering of the page but it eats up more power & are CPU intensive.

Many of the users appreciate the power
consumption improvements and many focus on chrome memory usage.
Also, see -
Chrome memory consumption is derived from running each tab separately resulting in anti-crash the program, unlike Mozilla Firefox that offers to browse under a single process.
We hope to see more improvements in the coming future for safe, fast, and less power consumption.
